a note to the mlb team
thank you.
For the conversations, the hospitality, and a genuinely special few weeks.
Hi MLB Team,
Thank you all for your time and help throughout this process. From taking a break in your busy day to chat, to helping book my flight, to listening to me fumble my way through a growth marketing plan for bidets in America. Thank you.
(Also, sorry Devan and Lauren. I’d love a second shot at that one! 🚽)
I have sincerely enjoyed this experience. I know you all meet a lot of talented people and have probably been through this process more times than you can count. But for the baseball-obsessed kiddo from a small-ish town in Texas, the past few weeks have been genuinely special.
I grew up loving this game. I was lucky enough to build a career around it for a while, then wandered off into a completely different industry and learned a whole lot there too. Getting the chance to come back, meet this team, talk baseball, marketing, clubs, fans, and what could be built next has meant more to me than I probably communicated along the way.
Whether this is the last time we speak or we end up working together for many years, thank you.
I’m rooting for the MLB and MiLB teams either way. And I genuinely mean this: if I can ever be useful to you or your teams, I’m here.
Sincerely,
one last thing
I hope your day goes better than this at-bat against my five-year-old son, Hayes.
