hi, i'm rob.

you'll forget who made *84% of the ads that you see today.

the path.

i build the brand work people remember, and the engine that scales it. nearly 15 years across brand and integrated marketing. i tend to own more ground than the headcount suggests.

the room: a minor league ballpark on a tuesday night

i was the guy with the microphone. ballpark rob.

nobody at a tuesday game came for me. that is where i learned attention is not handed to you because you are standing on the field. you earn it in the four minutes between innings or you do not get it at all.

70+ home games a year 15-plus-person game-day team one microphone

what came with me from every room: a live show does not wait for consensus. a crowd tells you the truth immediately. the person with the budget and the person with the idea should be the same person more often than they are.

my standard:

  1. 01own it, first brief to final edit.
  2. 02build the engine, not just the campaign.
  3. 03strategy first, play second. repeat as needed.
  4. 04build the family tree.
*footnote:

i'm aiming for head of brand roles at culturally relevant consumer lifestyle brands, or genuinely lovable ai companies. i'm being selective about where the rest of it goes.

*Ehrenberg-Bass Institute research, via Byron Sharp's How Brands Grow: only 16% of ads are both remembered and attributed to the right brand. Ehrenberg-Bass Institute books page, How Brands Grow PDF, Byron Sharp's ResearchGate, How Brands Grow summary referencing the 143-ad study.
