the path.
i build the brand work people remember, and the engine that scales it. nearly 15 years across brand and integrated marketing. i tend to own more ground than the headcount suggests.
based in houston. open to relocation.manager, marketing & promotions → director of ballpark entertainment
i was the guy with the microphone. ballpark rob.
nobody at a tuesday game came for me. that is where i learned attention is not handed to you because you are standing on the field. you earn it in the four minutes between innings or you do not get it at all.
producer / production manager → senior production manager
built and led a 75-person production team running every pre-game, in-game, and special event.
directed live on headset for four seasons, including the 2017 world series championship run. you cannot direct a live show by having opinions. you decide quickly, and the crew already has to know why.
associate brand director → jet brand manager, london → director, brand marketing
built the engine, then ran the brand around it.
the gamification platform became the digital backbone for a sports portfolio spanning mlb, nfl, mls, nwsl, and collegiate properties. in london, forecourt dramas earned 74.1% creative recall, the highest in sky media’s history, and moved consideration from fifth to third. later, i owned a $50m+ combined annual marketing investment, directed a 700m+ impression campaign, and ran the loyalty and app portfolio end to end, from strategy through development through testing.
being selective about the next room
i left in february on purpose.
since then i have built an ai version of myself that answers recruiter questions, a connect four engine that lets a crowd vote on the next move, and a set of detective games nobody asked for. none of it was assigned. all of it taught me something i did not know.
b.s., business administration (marketing)
where the formal version started.
the degree is the short line. the longer story is everything that came after it.
what came with me from every room: a live show does not wait for consensus. a crowd tells you the truth immediately. the person with the budget and the person with the idea should be the same person more often than they are.
my standard:
- 01own it, first brief to final edit.
- 02build the engine, not just the campaign.
- 03strategy first, play second. repeat as needed.
- 04build the family tree.
i'm aiming for head of brand roles at culturally relevant consumer lifestyle brands, or genuinely lovable ai companies. i'm being selective about where the rest of it goes.
select work.
